EVA Enriquez

Biography

A native from Spain, Eva is a painter currently based in Los Angeles, California. Over the last two decades, her adventurous spirit drove her to live in several cities in the US, including, Aspen, Honolulu and San Francisco. Her studies at University of Hawaii Manoa and Asian/Eastern aesthetics informed her figurative and abstract exploration. She represents varying levels of space, textures and perception through gestural geometry. In her paintings and installations, Eva uses vivid colors and a range of materials. Her interactions with places and materials are a source of knowledge and continued inspiration for her work.

Eva has participated in several art residencies including the Honolulu Museum.
She received funding several educational projects for young adults at the family court in Hawaii and Larkin Street Youth Services in San Francisco. Her work has been exhibit in Galeria Gaudi, Madrid, New York Art Fair and Berkely Arts Center, among others. Currently, Eva is working on creating digital compositions and turn them into surface patterns to bring her artwork to textiles and other products.
