Biography

Kate creates hand embroidered contemporary artworks, mainly using cross stitch as a medium. Departing from using patterns over a decade ago, to stitch feelings and the activity of life in an improvised and organic approach to cross stitch.

As an artist deeply connected to the practice of stitching on trains, the work explores the intertwining of creative therapy, social interaction, and the ever-changing landscapes witnessed from a train carriage.
